The hammer drill is more like a stronger version of the regular cordless drill (this however, doesn’t make it a regular cordless drill). The way the hammer drill works is to hammer as the drill bit is rotating, thus the name “Hammer Drill”. The bit cuts into a surface with the help of a vibrating chuck and is easily exposed to high friction. This makes them begin to chip off at the tip, hindering drilling process and slowing down general work progress. This is as a result of the frequent Hammering on the drill bit, even when there is no need for the extra Hammering.For this limitation, the impact driver was designed.
